Tony, I enjoyed the evening very much! It was a bit overwhelming to try and "catch-up" with so many people! Obviously you worked very hard to make this all happen and you might be pleased to know that your efforts meant a great deal to everyone in attendence. I only heard great things! Thanks. How would I go about getting the current addresses of some of my old friends who I saw there? Sadly, neither Fek nor I had an opportunity to get over to the corner and get our picture taken. I made several attempts but always seemed to get sidetracked.
Get some rest,
Floyd Scholz

McKinley School Memories: Andrew Warde 1976 classmates who attended McKinley Elementary School had a mini reunion, too. They include: (Back Row) Floyd Scholz, Michael Chelak, Mike Fetcho, Jeff Thornton, Cheryl Sladicki, (Front Row) Steve Trifone, Vicky Marx, Donna Anderson and Donna Provolo.
Tony, the entire event was incredible, much better than I hope for. I really liked working at the registration table and having the opportunity to meet people as they entered the building. It sure beat hunting people down. Having the distinct advantage of having to ask/verify names and reconnecting at the same time....as the ad says, Priceless!!!
To go over my weekend: My wife and I spent Friday in NYC with my dad and stepmother (Dr. Patricia Saunders, who can be seen every couple of weeks on CNN and Court TV with Nancy Grace). Saturday we rented a car and drove up to Fairifield, getting off at exit 24 and driving up Black Rock Turnpike to Judd Street, turning left on to Katona Drive and right into my old place, 40 Kalan Circle. Sherri and I got out of the car and I got ready to snap some picture of the outside of the house I haven't seen for at least 15 years. Sherri stopped me and said, "You should really ask the owners permission." We saw a teenager in the backyard with a dog. I told her that I used to live in the house and could I speak to her mom. She brought her mom out, who had bought the house from my mother. I was extremely surprised and grateful to be invited in to tour the house and take pictures of the inside and outside. Yes, they have made some changes, adding a second floor deck, making my old bedroom the master suite and extending it back from the house and adding a full bath and cathedral ceiling. It was absolutely incredible to go back in time like this.
After thanking the owner we stopped a few houses down to visit with an old neighbor who still lives in the same house. Nice to catch up. Then off to Steve and Marilyn Syarto's home to meet their two adopted (from Romania) children, Chloe and Connor. It was a fantastic visit. It was nice to see Steve and Marilyn again and to finally have the chance to meet their children. After that, it was off to the Trumbull Marriott to prepare for a brief get-together at Bob and Maureen Berman's house in Huntington, where we ran into Jerry Stein, Frank and Cindy Cupero, and the Syartos again.
Sherri and I then ran off to meet you at Testo's at 6pm so I could work at the registration tables. If you recall, we met you at the front door, as well as many other committe members. Then the fun started. Let's see, I remember meeting so many people: Susan Goorevich, Richard Rubin, Dan Cody, Suzanne Nielson, Diane Stahura, Richard (or Robert?) Isaacs, Marc Joseph, Brad Bartmess, Greg Aiello, Floyd Schulz, Jerry Goldstein, Sue Bernstein, Paul Piorek, Jeff Rankin....the list goes on and on. My brief wait in the line for pictures (I did this while dinner was being served) and the short two minutes I spent eating dinner (had to get back to seeing everyone), were the only breaks I took. Just too many old friends to see and reconnect with in such a short period of time.
I didn't get a chance to see or talk to everyone, but I definately made a good stab at trying. I just wanted to let you and the committee members know how much I appreciate all the hard work you put into the reunion. It was well worth the trip home, the trip back in time, and the wonderful memories I was able to take away (as well as some contact information for certain people!). Thanks again Tony!!!!
Regards,
Mark S. Waxman
Tony, thank you very much for such a wonderful event last night!!!! Everything was great, and I know so many enjoyed the night. I realize how much time and effort must have gone into putting together such a memorable evening. In this day and age it is so often too easy to forget the past and just concentrate on the hectic days of now. You and the committee really gave us all a gift to revisit the roots of our youth, restablish connections with people who were so important in shaping who we are today, and hopefully reigniting friendships. Thanks again. Please let me know if I can be of help to keep the Classof 1976 momentum going in future years!
All the best,
Sharyn Broadbin Cannon

Here's to 30 years! (L-R): Sharyn Broadbin, Bernie Conway, Andra Locke and Gary Brown.
I just want to say thanks to all who made this happen. I put this night among the best in my life. It was so wonderful to see everyone. I may not have recognized everyone, but I have never forgotten anyone. I did have some very emotonial feelings about those who are no longer with us. It was a shock to see so many pictures on the memorial board. Some I knew had passed, but others I thought I would see at the reunion. I hope that 10 years will not pass by before the next reunion. Again, THANKS to all who made this great event happen.
Sincerely,
Bob Berman
Tony,
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say what a great reunion it was!! You and the whole reunion committee did an absolutely fantastic job-- it was the best reunion I think we ever had! It was really good seeing everyone (almost everyone) again and talking about old times. Thanks agan for a great time! Keep in touch.
Steve Syarto
Thanks very, very much for all of your efforts and time devoted to make this such a tremendous success. I had a truly great time, as did so many others! It allowed me to meet and talk with other classmates that I had not known prior and vice-a-versa. All the best, and until we meet again.
Your fellow classmate,
Scott Patterson
Hey, Tony. I just want to tell you what a fabulous job you and the committee did that evening. Our reunion blew Ludlowe's away!!! It was so thought out and tastefully done. A "Class" ACT!!! I know how hard it is, and time consuming, to plan events such as these. I do two dinners/parties a year for the SoundTigers/ NY Islanders. No one can imagine the amount of time and effort that goes into making an evening a success, until you do it yourself. Thank you for all the efforts you and your team put in. Great Job!!
Thanks again!
